As a kid growing up in the early 60’s, I had a fascination with both pop-art and vintage wares. I’ve combined this love of clay and design into my functional ceramics. Using a monoprint process, I create images that I capture onto silkscreens, then, using food-safe and colorful slips, the prints are applied to my handmade ceramics. I will often use a combination of monoprint transfers and carving to help me create a whimsical aged and vintage appearance of my images onto clay.
